Welcome to the Biomedical Optics Laboratory
The Biomedical Optics Laboratory is located within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH). The research activities of the laboratory, under the direction of Dr. Kirill Larin, are focused on the development of new techniques and methods for tissue structural and functional imaging (such as Optical Coherence Tomography, Optical Coherence Elastography, Brillouin Spectroscopy, Optical Projection Tomography, Light-Sheet Microscopy, and Optoacoustics). The Biomedical Optics Laboratory is a place of knowledge, curiosity, advancements, and overall enjoyment in learning new ideas each and every day
The research activities are currently supported by NIH and DOD
